it is important to know things happening around world even it unlikely do no affect your daily life?

As far as I am concerned, we need to know things happenings around world. In current era, some convinient inventions, such as the massive rapid transportation, the communication tool and the internet, has shorten the distance between everybody and has connected everyone tightly around the world. Therefore, the events happened in Asia one day might influenced the people in America in the next day. We can not exclude ourselves from the world easily. As a result, it is important to know things which occured around the world.

In the first place, the convient and rapid transportation acclerates the exchange of products and money around the world. People can collect the resoureces, build the factories and sell them in different places to minimize the cost in each stage. That way they can maxize the profit. If some diaster, which cause the abruption of the linkage, occur somewhere, people in the other country might suffer extremendous loss. For example, the oil supply in Arab influence the cost of the industries over whole world. Moreover, though we do not buy the oil for dialy diet, the elevation of the price of the oil reflect truly on the price of the food, too.

The second example is the epidemic of SARS occurred in the Southeast Asia, such as Hong Kong, Taiwan. The SARS is an emerging infectious disease and we do not have the direct therapy for it at current time. That is, much more people would died from SARS if the epidemic speaded uncontrolledly to other places. If people in the other countries considered that the epidemic only existed in Southeat Asia and did not make any help, the disease might become a disater around the world.

To sum up, we all live a global village in the modern times. The difference between each place has been reduced. Everything can spread so extensively that it is hard to keep ourselves as outsiders.Therefore, we should care more about the things happening around the world and evaluate the possible impact in our daily life in advance.

影像只是一種記錄的方式，他的內涵依舊受到觀看者不同的解讀而影響。這種差異可以是非常大的。

文字記錄相對而言反而可能精確一點，但也未必完全客觀。我們不總是可以"看"到事情，有些東西，例如吃的、聽的，是無法以視覺媒介來記錄的。唯有靠文字試著表達。
